Our History

Founded by English Chocolate enthusiast Ernest Hillier and his Australian born wife Magdalen May, this small company with humble beginnings has become one of the oldest chocolatiers in Australia. Today, 95 years on, we continue creating chocolate with the same original vision of using the finest ingredients to ensure our quality and tradition continues. As Ernest once said, Hillier’s is “the sweetest story ever told”.
